18. IANA Considerations

This version of the PALISADE specification defines no IANA actions.

PALISADE currently operates using private protocol identifiers and does not require any IANA registrations.

Future versions of the protocol MAY request IANA assignments, including but not limited to:

• A UDP port number
• A protocol number
• An ALPN identifier

Any such registrations, if pursued, MUST be versioned and documented in a future revision of this specification.
